Ruto Suffers a Blow as Pro-Government Expert Criticizes The CAS List, Tells Parliament What to do

Political Expert Omulo Junior and who has been in support of President William Ruto's Kenya Kwanza government has joined a section of Kenyans and leaders allied to the opposition to critic the list of the 50 Chief Administrative Secretaries (CASs) nominated by the president.

Even though he lauded how the distribution has been made, saying it has the face of the country, Omulo said that it is unwelcomed for the president to recycle retired politicians and more so those who were rejected by electorates during the August 9th elections.

He implored upon parliament to reject the list, saying that it is time to have fresh leaders take up the CASs positions and not retired or older politicians.

"If we believe in the hustler narrative which the president used to win the elections, then he ought to have considered young upcoming leaders, people who can grow with him and people who will give him political capital."

"We are now seeing people being recycled, former governors, people who have worked in this country for years and the fact is they are bringing nothing to this government. I think we need a law to ensure that if one serves some years, they retire and not join the public service again."

"I want to tell the president, and in a good faith, to reconsider this list, and to parliament, they should send back the list and tell the president to appoint one person per ministry."

Listen to Omulo from minute 3:30.
