ODM Leader Raila Odinga has been battling Coronavirus disease which kept him out of public limelight for about 3 weeks. Yesterday, he resurfaced and held ODM's top leadership meeting and today Thursday he joined president Uhuru Kenyatta in inspecting the progress in construction of Green Park Bus Terminus.
It is from this event by the opposition chief alongside president Kenyatta that Gatundu South Member of Parliament Hon Moses Kuria has come out to dispute Odinga's health and his presence in the public. According to the Tanga Tanga allied politician, Odinga has been dragged out of bed to appear in public.
Kuria alleged that from his experience of being a Covid-19 survivor, the worst phase of the disease is in recovery and not infection itself.
On his social media platform, the vocal DP's supporter said, "Baba is not OK. He needs to be at home taking goat soup, Maasai herbs and light exercises. Dragging him out of bed in his current state is insisting on some things amidst mensing."
Odinga through his social media platform had said that he has tested negative for the virus accepting that the last 3 weeks have been difficult for him to handle. He added that Covid-19 has terminated lives of many people.
"I have tested NEGATIVE for Covid-19. The last three weeks have been the most trying but reflective; most humbling but hopeful. Unfortunately this virus has claimed the lives of our loved ones, frontline soldiers and it is still knocking on our doors," the former Prime Minister said.
