With less than a year to the general elections, political activities are expected to heighten and as politicians shift camps in new outfits that are taking shape. Kirinyaga boss Anne Waiguru has been on the limelight following her contradicting sentiments over the BBI. The vocal Mt Kenya leader found herself at logger heads with the authorities, a thing that she said was politically motivated because of her political stand.
Today, the Kirinyaga County boss has finally stated her preference for the presidency in 2022 and that she will choose between former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, Deputy President William Ruto and Musalia Mudavadi. As of now, Raila Odinga and William Ruto are the front-runners for the presidency in 2022.
“I have had conversations with a number of presidential candidates. I'm thinking about other options to see which one is best for me as a politician. I have not made any commitments to anyone. I am listening to the ground," Waiguru told KTN.
Already, a couple of days ago the ANC party has said that they are courting Anne Waiguru and could join their party, but Waiguru, said that after consultations with her people, she will make a decision on who to support in 2022.
