The Narok County Senator Hon Ledema Ole Kina has has come out to express his concers with regards to respect to the Maasai tribe as other leaders are oppossing his selection early on Monday to chair the Senate committee.
This comes after immediately after his selection was made public to the nation whereby the minority leader Senator James Orengo wrote to the Registrar of Parties oppossing Senator Ledama's victory.Ledama was amused by the move of Senator Orengo which made him call upon respect and democracy to prevail to all tribes of Kenya.
"The Maasai are not fence sitters! We are Kenyans and one day we will lead this country! Double standards! No position is reserved for any person. Let’s respect democracy!"senator Ledama tweeted.
The Senator also went ahead to urge his fellow leaders to cease from discrminating other tribes which have minority in power .He said this regarding to the Maasai community.
Senator Ledama said that All Kenyans have equal chances and the potential of leading this country to a better place.
