Raila Odinga Picks Kithure Kindiki's Elder Brother, Isaiah Kindiki as IEBC Agent

Along with Nyeri Deputy Governor Caroline Karugu, ODM Executive Director Oduor Ong'wen, and Raila's longstanding lawyer Paul Mwangi, Kindiki, who is the elder brother of Tharaka Nithi Senator Kithure Kindiki, will deputize Saitabao ole Kanchory - the Chief Agent.

Kithure is a staunch Ruto supporter who was appointed after missing out on the running mate position. On the other hand, his brother is a long-time ODM operator who has remained loyal to Raila for many years.

His four brothers all have PhDs in different fields, therefore the Kindiki family has a reputation for academic excellence.

Daystar University's Stephen Kithinki Kindiki is a professor of linguistics, while Maasai Mara University's Moses Mpuria Kindiki is a well-known lecturer.

Jonah Nyaga Kindiki, the eldest of the five, is a professor of International Education and Policy at the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom.

When both Isaiah and his brother ran for the Tharaka Nithi Senatorial seat in the 2017 General Election, they were on opposing sides.

The brothers have previously stated that their differing ideas and affiliations have no bearing on their relationship outside of politics.

"Family concerns aren't politics," she says. We're still brothers with opposing ideas," Isaiah said in a recent interview with a local newspaper.
