The pandemic Corona Virus struck the country and made everything to go at a standstill. Lives had to change because most people lost their jobs and lives had to be adjusted.
However, everything that has the beginning has the end too. The long awaited vaccine finally landed at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport on Wednesday early morning. It was warmly welcomed by our able cabinet secretary Mutahi Kagwe.
The first batch of the vaccine is targeting frontline workers. However, a good amount of money is expected to be used for the purpose. According to the Nation, the Kenyan government will spend Sh1.65 billion to vaccinate almost 1.25 million Kenyans against Covid-19 in the next three months. In the next three years, the government will spend Sh34 billion targeting 16 million Kenyans.
Most of the Kenyan people's prayer is that the money will be used well. This comes from the fear of the scandal being witnessed at KEMSA.
