Hussein Mohamed, the State House spokesperson, now has a legitimate, independent office. He will now report to the President under the terms of the new executive order.
This comes after the Office of the State House Spokesperson has been split off from the Office of the Presidential Communication Secretary, according to a recent decree (PCS).
Prior to this, Hussein had been designated as David Mugonyi's (PCS) deputy in the presidential communication secretary's office.
The position will be distinct and independent from that of the Presidential Communication Secretary
The former newscaster will serve as the accounting officer in the Executive Office of the State House Spokesperson, where he will oversee a group of communicators, researchers, and think tanks and work with the Executive (Cabinet) and legislation (Parliament) to further Ruto's agenda.
It should be noted that Hussein established himself with Ruto as the Kenya Kwanza team's head of communications after the journalist left his position as Citizen TV's news anchor in 2019 and reappeared as Kenya Kwanza's head of communications in January 2022.
He is a diligent worker and a dependable employee, therefore he did a fantastic job of getting Ruto to the house on the hill and in return he deserves the credit.
