Most Kenyans are relieved after the President heeded their pleas to open up the economy. He didn't exactly open up the economy but eased the restrictions on Church services & hotels while lifting the cessation of movement on the five central counties.
Schools opening schedule is to remain constant while the curfew hours have been restored back to 10 pm. This has come as a relief to many students and most struggling Kenyans who still hard to keep up with hard economic times.
However the president has warned that restrictions might be restored depending with the behaviour of the infection curve. He stated that it is his responsibility to ensure he protects human life first at whatever cost and it isn't his desire to inflict suffering on Kenyans.
Either way lifting of restrictions will be well received by Kenyans as we continue the fight the global pandemic. We just hope the restrictions will be completely lifted rather than reinstated as we gear towards economical recovery.
