
The cost of electricity between the months of December last year and this month of January 2023, have been compared as president William Ruto is accused of lying to Kenyans that the cost will not go up further this year.
In her message on Facebook, renown Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance coalition party allied top blogger Pauline Njoroge, has compared the cost of electricity in December last year and today January 18th 2023. Where it has emerged that the cost has gone up by a big percentage compared to last year December.
Njoroge shared the decrease in number of electricity tockens for Sh1000, which shows that she got 49.12 units in December while today she has recieved 37.89 units with the same Sh1000. This has angered her and she questioned whether the president lied to Kenyans that there will be no further increase in electricity charges, since she has confirmed that it has increased contrary to the president's promise.
