Leader of Minority in the National Assembly is the latest politician to react To President William Ruto's sentiments concerning GMO products. This was during a roundtable interview where Ruto made it clear that GMOs are not harmful as they have been portrayed and that its time Kenya adopted them

However according to Opiyo Wandayi, Ruto should not mock the dignity of Kenyans for his harsh words regarding GMO and the state of food security in the country. This was before he reminded the head of state that there are many Kenyans who are struggling to put a food on the table thus such humiliations must stop
"Like most Kenyans, Azimio is disappointed with the President for reducing the food security concern to that of jokes about GMOs and breasts. We're asking the President not to mock the dignity of Kenyans struggling to put food on the table. This humiliation must stop," Ugunja MP has warned
