'Sisi Si Chama ya Mawe' Ruto Speaks on Violence and Nominations in UDA

Deputy President William Ruto has come out to set records clear on protocols that will be used to run UDA. Ruto unveiled his UDA party shortly after falling out with the head of state and ditching the ruling Jubilee party.

Since then, he has been making countrywide trips to popularise the young party among Kenyans. His party has however managed to scoop victory in some by-elections recently held.

And now, the DP has come out clear to warn those who may want to use violence in UDA party. According to the second in command, the party has no room for hooliganism.

"Violence must never be part of the equation of UDA," Ruto said in the video. He added, "Violence will never be part of the modus operandi of this party".

Ruto has however cleared the doubts of those seeking nominations through his party and has assured them that nominations will be free and fair unless there is a scenario where there is only one candidate.

"There is nobody who will be given a free ride, there is no direct nomination going to nobody, unless we have only one candidate," clarified Ruto.
