The declaration regarding school fees by the head of state, Dr. William Samoei Ruto, broke the hush.
The Head of State, Dr. William Samoei Ruto, declared today, January 17, 2023, that no school principal or headteacher should alter the school fees structure released by the Ministry of Education by enacting illegal levies in schools before the highly anticipated school reopening scheduled for January 23, 2023.
In an effort to lessen the burden on parents who are suffering from the effects of the current economic climate, the Head of State has further ordered all school principals to closely adhere to the approved fee structures.
The Head of State has further directed all school principals to shun away from asking for any additional fees or levies from the parents, warning that stern measures of the law will be taken against those caught charging such fees and levies.
