On Saturday morning, His Excellency the Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua left Luanda Angola back to Kenya after two days state visit.
He has shared photos together with Her Excellency the second lady Mama Dorcas Gachagua at the airport just before they boarded their plane.
A full military parade in honour of the visiting deputy president was mounted at the airport to see him off with top personalities escorting him.
"I left Angola this morning for Nairobi after two-day engagements with the various leaders from the OACPS Member States at the Summit and the sidelines where we made various bilateral and multilateral commitments for improving the socio-economic lives of our people."His Excellency the Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
Among those who escorted him is the Kenya’s Ambassador to Angola and his Deputy Their Excellencies Clement Kiteme and Mr. Andrew Mujivane, respectively.
Kenya’s envoy to Belgium His Excellency Prof. Bitange Ndemo, Angola’s Director of State Protocol Mr Paulo Laureano, among others were present.
Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua earlier officially handed over the presidency of the Organisation of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS) to Angola.
Acting on behalf of President William Ruto, Gachagua handed the office over to Angolan President João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço during the opening of the 10th Summit of the OACPS in Luanda.
