Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe said yesterday that the government will not approve the Sputnik V vaccine for distribution because it is not on the WHO-approved list of Covid-19 vaccines.

In two days, Raila Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta have put to rest a much-touted political alliance between the ODM boss and DP William Ruto.

It began with dinner at Raila's on Wednesday. On Thursday, Raila and Uhuru inspected state projects in Nairobi and addressed the nation at State House.  

Technically, Raila would be out of primaries for the flag bearer race given that the party had said the deadline for expression of interest was Wednesday.

Mombasa Senator Mohammed Faki and his Kwale counterpart Issa Boy have faulted the directive to have all those crossing the Likoni channel to use the Liwatoni floating bridge.

Faki said use of the floating bridge is not a solution to the congestion at the Likoni ferry.
