Why Crowd Shouted Ruto's Name In Kakamega When ODM Senator Was Speaking

The former prime minister Raila Odinga took his people's baraza rally to kakamega county where he has a huge following.

It was a special moment for the azimio la umoja one Kenya alliance party leader to test and see whether his political bedrock is still intact at a time when he has declared war with president William Ruto's Government.

President Ruto had made some inroads in the region through leaders such as Kakamega UDA senator Bony khalwale and prime cabinet secretary Musalia Mudavadi.

Among the speakers at the event was Vihiga senator Godfrey Osotsi who took the opportunity to play down president Ruto's efforts to reach out to the region through his point men.

Speaking to a charged crowd, Osotsi accused the president of deceiving Mudavadi by giving Him a position which isn't anchored In law.

Terming the former vice president as a ghost worker in Ruto's government, Osotsi asked the Luhyas to remain solidly behind the former prime minister Raila Odinga.

In a bid to excite the crowd against the Kenya kwanza administration, he asked them to name one man who is a lier.

"Muongo ni Nani", asked Osotsi as the crowd shouted Back "Ruto".

The turnout in today's meeting is a clear indication that the head of state has some work to do inorder to win mulembe nation.
