Besigye, Bobi Wine Concerned About Museveni’s Son Plans To ‘Capture Nairobi’

Uganda's top activists have reacted to President Yoweri Museveni's son Muhoozi Kainerugaba's discomforting tweets that have since sparked reaction online.

Muhoozi, a commander of the land forces of the Uganda People's Defence Force, went on Twitter Monday evening bullishly saying that he, together with his army, can capture Nairobi in two weeks time.

He kicked off his theoretical comments by sarcastically wondering how President Uhuru Kenyatta handed over power to President William Ruto, noting that they do not identify with the constitution and the Rule of law.

Uganda’s former presidential candidate, Kizza-Besigye, has warned Kenyans against taking the general’s threats lightly. He said that history could be repeating itself since this is not the first Ugandan army general to talk about invading the country.

Like Amin, Museveni has been equipping the army with Russian jet fighters. Id-Amin had claimed that the Kenyan land up to Naivasha belonged to Uganda and it was his duty to liberate it.
