The republic of Kenya is currently at the succesional edge in politics. This is because the country is remaining with around 10 months only for it to go for a general elections as per the law. During this election, the people of Kenya will pick their new president who will succeed president Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta whose tenure in office will elapse come 2022. As we talk, several politicians have come out to declare their ambitions in running for this seat come 2022.
Among these politicians is the former prime minister of Kenya, hon Raila Odinga who is expected to face the deputy president of Kenya Dr William Ruto on this race. Now, for Raila Odinga to beat Dr William Ruto, he must choose a very powerful running mate who will be able to bring a good number of votes to his camp. Now, let's look at this opinion on Raila Odinga's running mate that might give him an early win over Dp Ruto.
According to me, hon Justin Muturi, the current speaker of the national assembly will be the best person to deputize Mr Odinga. Mr Muturi is known to be a very famous Mount Kenya leader who was installed some few months ago as president Uhuru Kenyatta's successor in the Mount Kenya region. Mr Muturi has ability to rally out the people of Mount Kenya region behind Raila Odinga if given a chance to be Odinga's running mate. On top of that, Muturi has expirince in politics and leadership due to his long stay in the government.
