Garissa Women Representative Anab Subow Gure has sparked mixed reactions on social media after the prolific female leader appeared in the public in the company of armed women bodyguards. The Women Representative made an abrupt tour in her constituency as she oversaw some sub-county projects.

The centre of everyone's concentration was her armed female bodyguards who looked so threatening due to the way they were armed. The women bodyguards were dressed in hijabs, military combats made of bullet proof material and AK47. The women leader went on to take photos with the duo as she made her visits.
Gure was in the company of other area leaders including Bura East Deputy County Commissioner, Kipkirui Arap Bett. Gure's security has since sparked mixed reactions on social media with netizens forced to take sides with some raising questions over the manner in which the female bodyguards carried the guns. Gure is known to be a staunch Jubilee supporters and has on several occasions been spotted with fellow Jubilee counterparts.
