Justus Nyangaya's Letter To President Ruto Before His Resignation

Independent And Boundary Commission Justus Nyangaya has resigned. Nyangaya who is on the list of Cherera 4 was suspended for going against election results that were announced by Wafula Chebukati to confirm The Victory of now President William Ruto. They described the results as opaque and they were not ready to be part of it. On his resignation, Nyangaya wrote a touching letter to His excellency William Ruto pointing out reasons for his resignation, saying that he took that decision in the interest of Kenyans.“In the last few weeks, I have had serious soul searching and being a man of faith, prayed fervently so that I may have the wisdom to make a decision that is in the best interest of the country. We all agree that the best interest of the nation must always supersede our individual interest,” he wrote.

“I have always endeavored to act in the best interest of the country, although my actions, taken in good faith have been misconstrued,” Nyang’aya said. Earlier the azimio team had distanced themselves from protecting the four commissioners. They emphasize that their participation in the matter was to protect the Constitution and not the four commissioners.
