President Uhuru Kenyatta who was seemingly in a rush during Martha Koome’s swearing-in took the shortest time to swear in the Chief Justice and Supreme Court judge, Justice Ouko. It has now emerged that the head of state was to attend another state function in Thika.
An extract from Statehouse Facebook Page
According to the Statehouse Kenya Facebook page, the head of state was presiding over another function in Thika at the Thika Army Barracks. He was to oversee the lunch of assorted Kenya Defense Force operational and engineering vehicles and machinery.
The new branch at the KDF Thika barracks will cut on the cost for the forces which had for long been forced to depend on foreign countries to acquire machines and vehicles used by the Kenya defense forces in the country. Uhuru is committed to ensuring that he leaves behind a legacy that will be emulated by many in the coming days.
