Politicians have continued to move from one political party to another where they feel they the confidence that they have higher chances of achieving their ambitions in the 2022 general elections.
The deputy president William Ruto who is one of the 2022 presidential candidates and the leader of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has also been receiving several politicians defecting from other political outfits into his camp.

On Wednesday 22nd September, the deputy president received into his camp one of the Nyanza top politicians, Hon. Jared Opiyo.
Hon. Jared Opiyo is the immediate former member of parliament for Awendo constituency. He served for one term, that is between 2013 to 2017 where he was succeeded by the incumbent, Walter Owino of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM).
Jared Opiyo defection into the deputy president William Ruto's Hustler Nation was revealed by the former Kibra parliamentary aspirant Eliud Owalo through his social media platforms.
