An important statement regarding impersonators of the president and first lady has been issued by the chief of staff for President William Ruto and the DCI investigators. Col. Fabian Lengusuranga said anyone impersonating the president or first lady Rachel Ruto must be prepared for arrest.
The impersonators are being sought after by the DCI investigators and the president's aide-de-camp. It is apparent that the names of the president and first lady are known to the majority of Kenyans.
It is clear that doing so puts both the president's life and the lives of his first family in peril. It is anticipated that the thieves in Kenya who are taking advantage of President William Ruto's name would have a difficult time.
People who impersonate members of the first family are likely to experience legal consequences and be charged in court. The president has made the decision to act after learning that people posing as him are duping Kenyans.
