Worry In The Mountain As Senior Mt. Kenya Leaders Announced The Following

As 2022 general election approaches, politicians are struggling to build relevancy in their political carriers. However, controversies have become the order of the day especially in who is relevant as far as political succession is concerned.

Almost all politicians' eyes are set on Mt. Kenya region where the incurbent President comes from. With Deputy President William Ruto and ODM Party Leader Raila Odinga being the main men, all eyes are set to them as far as 2022 Presidential election is concerned.

With Mount Kenya having Millions of registered voters, it is seen as being the main determiner for the next President. This is evident as each potential aspirant fights to have a portion of support from the region. Initially this has Enabled the region's unity strong as the decided as a block therefore enhancing unity.

However, as the leaders are expected to have a meeting to annoint the region's political kingpin. Some of the leaders who led negotiations during Limuru II conference in March,2012, where President Uhuru Kenyatta was conferred the reins as the Mt. Kenya region's leader before succeeding Mwai Kibaki, say things will be different, "this time round".

Meru County Governor Kiraitu Murungi who was among the leaders that led the Limuru II, yesterday said that Mt. Kenya East will not attend the meeting blindly.

He added that the region will negotiate with a y potential Presidential candidate since they don't have to negotiate through Mt. Kenya West.

Seemingly, the Limuru lll conference Meeting threatens to split the large Mt. Kenya region's unity that has been there for years.
