Judiciary is on record as one of the important arm of the government. According to public report, it was noted that there was a cold fight between the judiciary as a whole and the president. This was reported to have started from the time the president failed to appoint 6 judges.
According to NTV Kenya, it was reported that the high Court is now demanding that the president should appoint the 6 judges he rejected. It was reported that the president was give 14 days to carryout the exercise without failure.
In addition, it was reported that if the president fails to appoint the six judges chief Justice Martha Koome will take the responsibility of appointing the 6 judges. It was reported that she equally has the power to officiate the swearing in of the 6 judges that were rejected by the president.
It was reported that the step taken by the high Court may not be taken lightly by the president. Some noted that the pressure inserted to the president may be unnecessary.
