According to the latest provisional results from the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission portal, the current serving deputy president William Ruto is currently leading with 51.8 percent, followed by former Prime Minister Raila Odinga with 48.14 percent.
Furthermore, the current deputy president, William Ruto, received 6,902,417 votes, followed by former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, who received 6,578,011 votes in the hotly contested presidential race. The gap continues to fluctuate over time, and the margin can change at any time, so Kenyans are urged to hold on to their hopes until the final results are announced.
Wafula Chebukati, chairman of the Independent Electoral And Boundaries Commission, has warned Kenyans not to believe in any final results unless they come from the Independent Electoral And Boundaries Commission itself. According to Wafula Chebukati, the body will provide the final presidential results immediately they finish verification and tallying of all the forms 34A and 34B provided.
