Hon. Japheth Koome, the IG, made a commitment to President Hon. William Ruto that he would refrain from engaging in politics and would uphold the Constitution of Kenya and the mandate that had been given to him.

He claimed to have a great deal of respect for senior politicians and that is why he will adhere to his mission.He submitted a request to the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces to remind him in the event that he is not acting in accordance with the Kenyan Constitution because he is working for him.

He made it clear that he will continue to be committed to all people and work to improve their lives under the new government. The leader advised the country's security professionals to stay away from politics since it would harm the industry.
