Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria could have suffered another setback after his MP officially dumped him and embraced Deputy President William Ruto's UDA party.
In a post on Wednesday evening, Juja MP George Koimburi, who is the only MP elected on Moses Kuria's former People's Empowerment Party, hinted that he will be running on a UDA party in the 2022 general polls.
Despite efforts by Moses Kuria to ensure he clinched the seat, Koimburi has since gone slow on Moses Kuria's new Chama Cha Kazi and leaned towards Ruto's camp.
Despite not being active in most of Ruto's rallies, Koimburi embraced UDA, urging Juja residents to come out in large numbers and register as voters in the second registration exercise that started yesterday.
This comes at a time the rivalry between Deputy President William Ruto and his former ally Moses Kuria continues to worsen. Kuria, who is out of the country for medical attention, has been throwing chaps at Ruto's camp ever since Ruto insisted that he will not form a coalition with his CCK party and other ethnic parties.
Kuria is yet to declare the presidential candidate his party will support in 2022. On Saturday 19th February, Kuria will be in Thika Stadium for a thanksgiving prayer once he jets back from Dubai where he had been receiving treatments after his legs were burnt by an electric blanket.
