The deputy president William Ruto was missing among the state officers who were receiving the covid 19 vaccine. On Friday the president together with cabinet secretaries and members of judiciary were vaccinated immediately after the fifteenth presidential address on corona virus.
The Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen has come out strongly to defend the deputy president William Ruto over his missing on Friday as the president Kenyatta was getting his vaccine. While responding to the state house statement after the president Uhuru Kenyatta, first lady , government officials and cabinet secretaries received their Oxford AstraZeneca Vaccine. Among the ministers who received the vaccine were the mutahi Kagwe cs Health,Fred Matiang'i Cs interior and Raychelle Omamo.
Murkomen claims that the deputy president was not invited for the vaccine because he has yet attained the age of 58. According to the senator the deputy president William Ruto will get the vaccine when his time come .
The deputy president together with the former prime minister Raila Odinga are yet to receive the vaccine in public domain even though the president Kenyatta received his last Friday.
