Keiyo North Constituency parliamentary race has taken a new twist ahead of the much awaited elections slated for August 9th after a high profile meeting at United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party leader William Ruto's Karen residence in Nairobi.

The Keiyo North MP race has taken a new twist after DP Ruto met leaders who contested for the UDA party ticket in the recently concluded party primaries for consensus building.
During the closed-door meeting, four of the five candidates who squared off at the nominations for the party ticket agreed to back the winner of the primaries.
Julius Kosgei Chebiego,Thomas Maiyo, David Rono and Moses Lelmo reached a resolution after the meeting to back the UDA party flag bearer for the seat, Adams Kipsanai.
"The party also thanks Julius Kosgei Chebiego,Thomas Maiyo, David Rono and Moses Lelmo for backing Adams Kipsanai, our nominee for the Keiyo North constituency," DP Ruto said.
Similarly, the Elgeiyo Marakwet County gubernatorial race took a new twist after DP Ruto met Josephat Sawe, Dr Loice Kipkiror and Joseph Boinett who shelved their ambitions to back UDA candidate for the seat, Hon Wesley Rotich.
