Since being elected as the MP for Mumias East Constituency, Peter Salasya has been in the news frequently. Following his public request for a bride, several people, including socialite Manzi wa kibera, gave him marriage proposals. Recently, he made a pledge to build a home for Nuru Okanga, a Raila Odinga fan whose home in the village was demolished by his adversaries while he was away in Nairobi.
At Nuru Okanga's property in Matungu Kakamega county today, Peter Salasya was seen preparing the soil that would be utilized to build the house. The people were startled to witness such a well-known parliamentarian lowering himself in humility and lending a hand. They can be seen taking shots of him working in the video.
Check how how Kenyans responded online; many of them praised him for being modest despite being an MP;
Salasya pledged to keep assisting residents of his district in whatever way he could. "Hehe The Matungu people didn't think that this communal effort in Luhya was part of culture or tradition. I'll continue to do this in my district and throughout Kakamega County. I'LL GIVE HIM STAINLESS DOORS AND WINDOW SASHES. Am very fervently committed to Nuru Okanga "stated MP Salasya.
