Cause of Fire That Consumed Soy MP Kositany's Campaign Vehicle Revealed

On Saturday, Kenyans were treated to a rare scene after a campaign vehicle belonging to Uasin Gishu County Gubernatorial aspirant Caleb Kositany mysteriously caught fire.

It was reported that the landcruiser pick up that was carrying a generator and sound systems got fire at Kapseret constituency during a campaign trail.

According to reports, all the occupants were safely evacuated as Uasin Gishu fire brigade rushed to the place in time to salvage the car.

And Oscar Sudi's digital journalist Alfred Koech, the cause of the fire is suspected to be a faulty generator that the car was carrying.

This came amid speculations that the fire could have been caused by arsonists and Kositany's competitors.

This comes at time the race to succeed Governor Jackson Mandago has taken shape in Uasin Gishu.

Among the UDA aspirants seeking for the party's ticket include former Kanu member Jonathan Chelilim, Caleb Kositany, Veska Kangogo, Kenya's ambassador to Pakistan Julius Bitok, Sarah Serem, David Singoei among others.

The winner will face off with Bundotich Zedekiah alias Buzeki who is running on an independent ticket.
