Race to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta takes a new twist as provisional results show United Democratic Alliance, UDA Presidential Candidate William Samoei Arap Ruto leading against his rival, the Azimio Presidential Candidate Hon Raila Amolo Odinga.
From the provisional tally, DP Ruto is leading at 3,868,899 votes translating to a about 50.23% while the Azimio Presidential Candidate Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga 3782488 which is about 49.13 per cent.
Roots party Presidential Candidate, Hon George Wajackoyah gaining 33,664 per cent while the Agano party Presidential Candidate Waihiga Mwaure pocketing 17,635 per cent.
This comes as IEBC Revealed that the 2022 voter turn out is at 64.6 per cent based on electors identified electronically using the Kenya Integrated Election Management System (KIEMS).
He added that the National Tally Centre at the Bomas of Kenya in Nairobi that the electoral agency would give a final turnout figure once the number of voters identified manually is verified.
