Azimio la Umoja one Kenya Coalition led by their former presidential aspirant Raila Odinga have found themselves in a position in which they will have to come out to protect their own. After the Independent Electoral Boundaries Commission issued the results of the just-ended presidential elections, some four commissioners led by Julian Cherera, the IEBC depute chairperson opposed the results alleging that they were not involved in the final tallying of the results.
Since then, the commissioners have faced a tough time after a petition was filed for them to be fired. Due to this, Azimio camp has taken all the measures to ensure that the commissioners do not lose their jobs.
Among the Azimio lawmakers who have come to the aid of the four commissioners is Narok County Senator Ledama Ole Kina. Taking to his official tweeter account, Ledama alleged that President William Ruto should stop the attack on the commissioners.
Ledama also quoted President Ruto's past address where he had alleged that their victory was God-given. According to Ledama, President Ruto should stop these unnecessary fights over the commissioner.
"Mr President William Ruto I thought you said the difference between the winners and losses in the last election was those who believed in God Vs Men? Isn't ironic that you now want to punish IEBC commissioners yet you got the victory? Stop these unnecessary fights man! Not worth it!" Ledama posted.
