There has been a controversy between UDA and Ford Kenya party in which the two parties have fielded their candidates to take over from Moses Wetangula.
However, in an event in the past, Moses Wetangula had indicated that this was a small matter between him and president Ruto and they will seat and come up with one candidate that will flag the Kenya kwanza candidate. The two parties are the major parties in Kenya kwanza coalition.
