Details why IEBC locked Musyoka out of the August elections

The independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has finally locked out the wiper party leader Kalonzo musyoka from participating in the forthcoming August 9 general elections.

According to the Electoral Commission, the wiper boss did not present the list of his supporters in the required Microsoft Excel sheet as required by the IEBC.

The decision has now put musyoka in the list of the Four Political parties and the nine Independent presidential Aspirants who have failed to meet the IEBC requirements.

The Commission required the Presidential Aspirants to submit a list of at least 2,000 supporters from at least 24 Counties, meaning they had to submit a list of at least 48,000 supporters countrywide.

However, the Commission has cleared 16 Aspirants to vie for President, nine vying on different Political parties while seven are Independent Candidates.

The Failure by Mr. Musyoka to appear in the presidential list of Candidates comes at a time when a section of his supporters have been pressing him to return to the Azimio la umoja coalition instead of Running alone.

Musyoka had on may 16, Jumped out of the Azimio la Umoja coalition and fielded his candidature for Presidency in the forthcoming August 9 elections.

However, according to the latest developments, it seems his mission has failed he may end up joining the other Coalition.
