Today citizens have made the social media a talk still after a source linked photos of the new Tanzania's statehouse which was built under an estimated cost of Ksh 175 million. They compared it with the Machakos County Whitehouse which was founded by their former Governor Alfred Mutua who is now the cabinet Secretary in Ministry of Internal Affairs.
According to reports the big house which has more than 100 county offices costed Mutua Ksh 350 million for it's full maintenance. Many Kenyans who have reacted over the issue feel that Tanzania is a better way manageable with public resources than Kenya accusing politicians of spending too much on their personal matters.
Down here are some of the reactions from the netizens.
Jonah Rojooh tweeted," Tanzania is so good at spending less money on big projects and making them better than Kenya, who wastes more funds. Just look at the SGR in both countries and you'll see what I mean. And don't get me started on the statehouse thing. Tanzania's statehouse is like a palace, while Kenya's is like a hut. Tanzania knows how to shine, while Kenya knows how to whine."
Finey Israel tweeted," These are the days I wish I was Tanzanian by birth.Kenya is a messed up place and let's not politicise this.It is messed up to the core that all presidential recruitments are all thugs. That's the same president promising a better future for Kenya. Brave yourself my country people."
Nya Mbura tweeted," Grass is always greener on the other side. We have now become like that housewife who checks how the neighbor's husband runs his home and then complains to her husband. Watu waende wakaishi TZ sasa watuachie Kenya."
