Raila Odinga's main ally, a first-term Orange Democratic Movement Party Member of Parliament, has been arrested by police officials in Kisumu City, according to the latest news. The outspoken MP has been in the forefront of Raila Odinga's campaign and is frequently interviewed on television for political debates.
Raila Odinga's ally detention occurred during a campaign meeting in Nyamira County, when the ODM Party leader met with grassroots leaders. Interior CS Dr. Fred Matiangi, Health CS Mutahi Kagwe, and Defence CS Eugene Wamalwa accompanied him.
According to Citizen TV, Kisumu Central MP Fred Ouda has already been questioned by police officers over alleged inciting and property destruction after two groups clashed in the upscale Milimani neighborhood of Kisumu.
