Elgeyo Marakwet senator, Hon. Kipchumba Mukomen has surprised Kenyans after coming to the defense of ODM party leader, Raila Odinga. The vocal senator is a key Ally of the Deputy President who has been advocating for Ruto's presidency.

The former Senate Majority Chief Whip has tweeted in defence of Raila Odinga as he castigates politicians waiting for Raila's endorsement.

According to the vocal senator, there are many political brokers hanging on Raila waiting for the ODM party leader to endorse them after he has campaigned vigorously.

Raila Odinga has been criss-crossing the country with his liutenants in a bid to position himself as the best candidate to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta. The likes of Musalia Mudavadi and Kalonzo Muysoka have been criticized for failing to organize nation wide campaigns to solicit for votes the same way DP Ruto and Raila Odinga have been doing.
