Kisii Governor Simba Arati Slams MPs for Threatening Impeachment Proceedings

Kisii Governor Simba Arati announced from his backyard that he will resign due to his relationship with President William Ruto.

Arathi stated in a media interview on Saturday, December 31, that he will not be questioned by MPs and that he expects them to obey his mandate.

He stated that the provincial assembly and senate are the only bodies that can appoint governors.

It's amusing to see some of them say things like, 'We give you two months, if you don't do it,' because what will they do? "The task is clearly defined in the constitution," Arati said.

For the first time, the governor stated that his new position necessitates collaboration with the national government and that he will not compromise himself to appease some people.

Our relationship with the president is strained, and the court has endorsed the election. We have no other option, President Ruto.

"People who feel uncomfortable seeing me and the President together do not want this relationship. But one thing is certain: Raila Odinga Azimio is still the leader of my party "He stated.

Arati stated that he has friendly relations with senators and other elected officials in the ODM and Azimio in general.

He did, however, admit that some leaders are opposing him by claiming that he will not listen to them.

Arati stated that he will deliver to the people of Kisii, who assured him of the county's leadership, even if it means working with Ruto.

The former MP stated that Anyang' Nyong'o of Kisumu and James Orengo of Siaya are the Nyanza leaders who will collaborate with the state.

Azimio, according to Nyong'o and Orengo, is still alive and well. In addition, Governor Gladys Wanga of Homa Bay admitted that she had never met Ruto but had a friendly relationship with him.
