Kenya Kwanza Alliance running mate and Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua has been in the headlines after he was picked by Deputy President William Ruto. Furthermore, many political rivals have been questioning his integrity issues.
Speaking to K24 TV's Punchline, the former governor for Kiambu County, William Kabogo, said that he was not ready to speak about integrity issues of Gachagua. He further added that the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) had left the choice with him.
“I want to leave it to Gachagua to answer issues of his integrity if they really exist. The constitution presumes you to be innocent until proven guilty. On our side, we said, "this is your choice, we will go with it,” he said as quoted by the media house.
Gachagua has an ongoing court case where he is suspected of corruption of public funds that is worth billions of shillings.
