Bungoma Senate wannabe Jacob Machacha from Maporomoko in Webuye West has said he is ready to overcome officeholder Senator Moses Wetang'ula in the August surveys. He is competing for the seat on the Federal Party of Kenya ticket.

Machacha asked occupants to back his bid, saying it is time Bungoma picks youthful and dynamic pioneers to address the region at all levels. He addressed the press in Webuye on Thursday.

A few chiefs like Senator Wetang'ula have been in administrative roles for quite a while. It's time Bungoma inhabitants opened up and decided in favor of youthful, new and lively pioneers who will battle for advancement, Machacha said.

I have not seen a genuine and centered representative competitor such as myself. I will pound Wetang'ula hands, I need to show him a thing or two. Machacha requested that Wetang'ula center around the speaker's situation in the Kenya Kwanza power-sharing arrangement.
