The former politician, who was close to both leaders back then, now claims that Ruto wronged Moi to such an extent that Moi did not want anything to do with him.
It is because of this that Ruto attempted to seek cultural intervention by sending elders to apologize on his behalf, a strategy that failed, which shows how much Moi disliked Ruto for doing unprintable things to him in the first place.
He adds that this is also the case for the leaders of the country, including himself, to whom Ruto has offended, explaining that this is one of the reasons why big politicians appear to be uniting in their opposition to DP.
Jirongo claims Ruto is now doing the same to Uhuru Kenyatta, thus the president's unwillingness to reconcile with him despite Catholic bishops' efforts.
Due to Ruto's love for property, he says he cannot work with him or support his presidential campaign in August.
His comments support what some of the mentioned leaders have said, that Ruto is corrupt and uses his position in government to steal.
