'Freedom is Coming' Meet Ruto's Allies Who Has Been Cleared Of Court Charges

Freedom Is Coming, was the mantra of Ruto's successful campaign. This is particularly true for most of his cabinet ministers and top allies facing criminal and corruption. Since assuming power the embattled court's top allies have tasted freedom.

Recently to taste freedom is Communication Authority of Kenya boss Mary Wambui who was the biggest sponsor of Uhuru's campaign in the 2013 and 2017 presidential run-ups.

The Standard media noted that a hidden bargain between Kenya Revenue Authority and Mary Wambui has been reached to clear her of a multi-billion lawsuit. Embattled Wambui saw herself in and out of court during the better part of Uhuru's reign.

The Newspaper highlighted that KRA would be paid an unspecified amount of money so that they would write to the Director of the public prosecution to drop the charges

Among those who got cleared of criminal and graft cases include Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Mithika Linthuri who was freed of the alleged rape case. DPP also dropped charges against Aisha Jumwa about the embezzlement of Sh119 million of Malindi NGCDF. The former Samburu governor's case of conspiracy to receive Ksh86.4 fraudulently from the county for supplying fuel got dropped.
