Manyora Claim How Small Parties Are 'Using' Ruto to Get More Members & Why It's Dangerous For The DP

Political Commentator Herman Manyora has claimed that the small political parties more so in Mount Kenya region are using Deputy President William Ruto's presidential bid to win more members ahead of the August elections.

According to Manyora, the party leaders and other officials assure residents that they are supporting Ruto's bid, and hence lure them in to joining those small parties.

Through his You Tube Channel Manyora notes that that although the residents agree to back Ruto, they are told that it will be hard for them to join the DP without their own political outfit, a move that will later affect the UDA party popularity across the vote-rich region.

"The small parties from Mt Kenya have a strategy. By saying that they support Ruto, they are making it safe for other people to join those parties. But they are not doing that blindly, they tell them they cannot fold those parties and join UDA. That narrative is easy to sell, but it will turn dangerous when they will start leaving Ruto to Raila's Azimio La Umoja," said Manyora.

Manyora's comment comes at a time when the DP and his allies have maintained that the are supporting UDA a national party, terming the other regional parties as tribal.
