ODM Lawmaker Proposes How Karua Should Be Honoured Over Her Contribution

Minority leader at the Nairobi county assembly Peter Imwatok, the MCA for Makongeni, has proposed that former cabinet minister and the leader of Narc Kenya party Hon. Martha Karua be honoured over her great contribution.

According to him, after former prime minister Raila Odinga has been honoured by renaming Mbangathi Road after him, the same should be done to Karua.

He added that the renaming should not just done because it is Raila, but it should be done after considering individual's contribution to the society.

“Let not just rename this road just because it is Raila Odinga, but because he has sacrificed almost 50 years of his life for the good of our country,” Imwatok told the House.

“I am happy that you initiated this process of naming roads to great men and women of our country. I am also expecting a road to be named after Martha Karua in this city" he said during the debate. Source:
