Hon. Oscar had traveled with President William Samoei Ruto to Naivasha in order to meet with the elected members of parliament for Kenya Kwanza. Since taking office on Tuesday, September 15, 2022, at the Moi International Sports Center in Kasarani, this was President Hon. William Samoei Ruto's first flight in an air force helicopter. He also visited Naivasha for the first time as part of a government tour.Hon. Oscar dispelled any lingering questions about his appointment as the current cabinet secretary for interior security today, on Saturday, September 17, 2022. He claimed he was accustomed to seeing government helicopters. "I am used to these government helicopters", said Hon. Oscar.
