First Lady Mama Margaret Kenyatta has issued a statement in regards to her Beyond Zero Initiative campaign that has not been very active in the recent days.
Through her official office communication channel, the second lady has noted that the initiative is currently engaging in communal activities including offering medical services to those affected by the novel Corona virus pandemic.
"First Lady Margaret Kenyatta’s Beyond Zero Initiative has began a new intervention specifically targeting rural communities with medical services to support sectors adversely affected by COVID-19."the Office of the First Lady Mama Margaret Kenyatta.

She has noted that the Beyond Zero is eager to see that Kenyans cone back to their initial economic status beyond they were adversely affected by the pandemic that erupted in 2019 but reached Kenya in 2020.
This comes at a time when the campaign has been so silent and she stopped distributing the mobile clinics which she used to issue and had issued 47 mobile clinics to all the 47 counties in the country.
However, at a certain point in time, the campaign had been linked with corruption deals but the relevant government agencies came out to defend the programme and the issue went down.
Her new initiative will help Kenyans who have been affected by the negative impacts of the novel Corona virus infections since Kenyans have been going through a lot of difficulties due to restrictions by the government.
