Setback For Ruto, Raila As Powerful CS From Mt Kenya Secretly Plans to Run For President

The political scenery and landscape is constantly changing in Kenya with politicians defecting and realigning themselves in preparation for 2022. The former Prime Minister Raila Odinga recently told Ruto that he has been campaigning from 2017 and now that new entrants have started showing interest in the top seat, the DP is already tired and afraid. Well, even the ODM leader is not safe.

A report by the standard has revealed another powerful figure that will appear in the ballot papers on August 2022. The man is currently one of the blue eyed ministers in Uhuru's government. He is known for his authoritative way of leadership, and management which guided the country through the most difficult moments in history, the Coronavirus pandemic.

The health cabinet secretary Mutahi Kagwe. Sources have disclosed that the former Nyeri senator is planning a political comeback and he is going all the way to seek the top seat. Kagwe wants to use the NARC party which is currently led by Charity Ngilu as his vehicle.

Although, he has never hinted nor disputed the fact, Mutahi Kagwe is preparing campaign strategies and wants everything set before he can officially announce his candidature. This will be a big setback for Ruto and Raila who are both banking on the vote-rich Mt Kenya region's support.
