It is one week since Kiambu county MCAs rejected five of governor Wamatangi's CECs on ground that they were not qualified for the position. For that reason, the governor has taken time to speak about his relationship with the MCAs. This is basing on the fact that his Meru counterpart Kawira Mwangaza is having a rough time with her MCAs.
As People Daily reports, Wamatangi has said that the decision by the MCAs is a show if independence by the assembly. He added that both the executive and and the assembly are required to exercise their duties independently. That for him, he doesn't have bad blood with his MCAs because his goal is to serve people well.
He also cleared the doubts about vacuum being in government. That there is no vacuum despite the fact that the CECs were rejected. That all the departments are fully operational and the residents should not shy away from seeking for services anytime. The interview was done on phone and the governor assured the residents of full service.
