Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya has now taken to the Public to reveal that he might soon work with Deputy President William Ruto before the 2022 general elections, a move that will boost DP Ruto`s 2022 Presidential race alongside his rival Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Leader Raila Odinga.
Oparanya who has been backing the Former Prime Minister in the Western Parts of Kenya, most specifically Kakamega County, has now said when the right time comes he will join the DP`s camp.
The Chairman of Governors confirmed that he has been consulting the second in command on matters concerning political and socio-economic despite their political differences that were brought about when Raila entered into the government in 2018 through the handshake slogan.
On Sunday, November 22, 2020 Oparanya took to the Public to confirm that he was in talks with President Uhuru Kenyatta, DP Ruto and the Former Prime Minister on matters concerning the fate of Kenya.
Oparanya told the Kakamega residents that he has no problem working with DP Ruto before and after 2022, a move that sparked mixed reactions from the residents in the region.
“…Even William Ruto, we have also been working with him. When we get there, we shall decide on one of us to take over. If one takes over, others get appointive positions,” Oparanya told Kakamega residents.
The Kakamega icon did not leave behind the Building Bridge Initiative (BBI) Report, asserting that it will be implemented to help other region have a position in the government for equal presentation of all Kenyans.
